The National Cinnamon Research and Training Center, located in Palolpitiya, Tihagoda, in the Matara District, is the premier government-owned institution dedicated exclusively to cinnamon-related training and research. This unique facility offers a range of free courses open to all stakeholders in the cinnamon industry, regardless of age or gender. Our comprehensive courses are meticulously designed to cover all aspects of cinnamon cultivation and processing, enabling participants to acquire valuable knowledge and skills to excel in the field. At the National Cinnamon Research and Training Center, we offer training programs that range from one-day to five-day sessions:
Cinnamon Peeler Training (Duration: 5 days)
Course Objectives:
- This course aims to equip participants with the essential skills for maintaining cinnamon quality, offering hands-on experience in effective cinnamon peeling techniques, and proper maintenance of cinnamon plantations.
Specific Features:
- Utilizing proper techniques for cinnamon peeling.

Certification:

Instead of bringing trainees to the training center in Thihagoda, the institute’s trainers and resource persons have established a mobile training unit to reach trainees in rural areas and provide comprehensive training.
